Nacho Cheese Bake

Nachos are created by layering tortilla chips with an assortment of toppings, sauces and cheese. This recipe adds another wow factor to this recipe by baking the meaty sauce and cheese in a casserole and serving it as a dip for tortilla chips.
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Jolly Claro Palm Oil
- 1 whole Onion, chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 300g 80-20 Ground Beef
- 2-3 tbsp Taco Seasoning
- ⅓ cup Water
- 1 whole Bell Pepper, diced
- ½ cup Red Kidney Beans, cooked
- 1 Tbsp Sunny Farms Nature's Bounty Tomato Paste
- 1 pc Bay Leaf
- ⅓ cup Jalapeños, sliced
- 1 pack Tex Mex Cheese
- ½ cup Tostitos Chunky Salsa
- 1 tbsp Cilantro or Parsley, chopped
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- 500g pack Nacho Chips
Step-by-Step Directions
- 1. Pour oil in a pan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until aromatic.
- 2. Add ground beef and cook it until it turns light gray in color. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Add taco seasoning, water, tomato paste, bay leaf, red kidney beans, and bell pepper.
- 4. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Turn off heat then transfer it in a shallow baking dish.
- 5. Put the sliced Jalapeños on top then sprinkle with Tex Mex cheese.
- 6. Bake for 10-15 minutes in a 190C preheated oven.
- 7. Remove the Nacho Bake Dip in the oven. Add the Tostitos Chunky Salsa on top then sprinkle with chopped cilantro or parsley.
- 8. Serve with Nacho Chips.
