Orange Chicken Nuggets
Oranges are believed to bring good luck in Chinese New Year. This recipe is made simpler by using chicken nuggets. No need to prepare breaded chicken. Just cook the sauce and toss the fried chicken nuggets.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Frabelle Foods Chicken Nuggets
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil (for the sauce)
- 2 tsp Ginger, chopped
- 2 tsp Garlic, chopped
- 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp Chili Flakes
- 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- ½ cup Water
- 3 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
- ¼ cup Water
- Spring Onion, sliced, for garnish

Step-by-Step Directions
- 1. Deep fry chicken nuggets until golden brown in color. Set aside.
- 2. Pour oil in a pan over medium heat. Saute ginger and garlic until aromatic.
- 3. Add orange juice, chili flakes, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and water. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- 4. Mix cornstarch and ¼ cup water. Pour it into the sauce to thicken.
- 5. Add the fried chicken nuggets into the sauce. Toss to coat.
- 6. Transfer to a dish then sprinkle sliced spring onions.
- 7. Serve hot.
